I have Cushing's and I have these exact same feelings. I wouldn't wish it on anyone.... ever.

My problem has been that I'm very good at putting clothes together, and buying quality items, but my problem is that I just keep on doing it! I've ended up with tonnes of clothes, and it's been difficult to part with them, because they're all nice! However, I am in my last week of doing Project 333 and it's been life-changing. I've now got my 33 items and I'm so much happier. It's helped me to work out what my actual style is, and it's made getting dressed in the morning so much easier!

I think it's important to make getting rid of the stuff as easy as you need to. For example, if there isn't a donation center nearby or you don't have a car, just toss the stuff in the garbage. I know it feels wasteful, and that it is always better to donate or sell, but for someone who has a chronic illness and can't move outside of the home a lot, this has kept me stuck. I don't feel great tossing stuff because I want to donate, but it's just the reality I live in. I can either accept tossing stuff in the bin or live in a stressful, cluttered environment. The choice seems clear.

My spouse is chronically ill and dying. Looking at the NOVA film on Dying is not easy to watch. But truthful. One ting the video was informative and thought provoking. What may help you feel better of the word Disability is condition which i is disabling. It is a inconvince .

For me minimalism is the mind set that experience matters more than stuff. It’s about empowerment that I am not defined by materialism and my self worth isn’t attached to that. It’s living with more intention and not participating in the overconsumption destroying the planet. Lastly, it’s about living in a state of abundance rather than lack. I have enough stuff..so what’s next? What experiences do I want to have? How do I want to be a producer rather than a constant consumer?

I had a pair of earphones in my Amazon cart for two days and left them alone. They had great reviews, and I was thinking of getting them. Just before I ordered, I looked at them closely and realized that they say "do not wear with glasses." If I hadn't let them sit for a few days, I would have been very disappointed and wasted money because my prescription is so bad, I can't get contacts.

I love your videos and your 'realness' that you share. I am a mom of a 7-year-old and 10-year-old. Life will change when baby comes but that's okay, embrace it...I struggled with that. You may need change your workflow, but you'll figure that out over time. I went from full-time care to part-time care when I have been self-employed. Then the kids started elementary school and then that changes your strategy. You will be a team with Andy. Life is organic and everything will fall into place with every stage. I am so excited for your baby to arrive and start a new stage in life as a momma.

I was a breach baby. Regular delivery I understand. I hope things go well for you! Having a baby is hard work but worth it all and such a blessing!

As first time moms, we all have an ideal birth plan but it seems to rarely go as planned. Wishing you a safe delivery and healthy baby no matter how it happens. Due to safety both my girls were induced and looking back it was perfect and I wouldn’t change a thing about it even though it was a change to my plans.

Thank you so much for this video. I especially appreciated your expanding on the minimalism question. I am struggling with getting started. Commuting to a full time demanding job and caring for aging family members leaves me pretty wiped out at the end of the day/week. There is a church next to my apartment that has a hair stylist. She only charges $3. for a haircut. I keep my hair cut short. I only get my bangs cut every two months. I only have to get a full haircut twice a year.

Thank you. I struggle with guilt constantly. I was a competitive gymnast who rode dirt bikes & kept up "with the guys". But now everyone assumes I'm making up symptoms or I couldn't possibly be in as much pain as I say I am or have been. The frustration builds up and causes more physical symptoms. Still working on breaking that cycle.

Not true. The idea of getting rid of CDs because everything is online is not true. As long as you listen to mainstream music, you can probably find what you want online. However, the music I listen to is not mainstream music or artists so, no, it does not exist online. I recently lost a favorite CD and I cannot find the music anywhere.

That is really awesome. Congratulations and keep up the great work!! It is okay to be vulnerable once in a while to show you are a real person going through real things. I had started a YT channel 8-10 years ago about minimalism and my life. I had a few that went big with 10k views but I deleted the whole channel and never saved videos I thought I backed up. If I had kept up with it all, I think I could have made something out of it. I have been doing vlogs and more on my newer channel from the past year and I definitely must have screwed up something in the algorithm, but it is okay. I am doing what I am enjoying doing and connecting to just a few people at a time, and that is okay! I did do live streaming on another platform during covid and had reached 1K viewers with making a monthly income that was helpful for a couple bills, and I stopped that because I had my third baby and have no time to sit in front of people for two hours to give them advice when I have a child needing my attention instead, but it was a fun experience too. I have found that no matter what I do, I am able to have fun and enjoy it while living my life with good intentions. I feel glad about it.

i got my gaming pc for $200 on kijiji and i just upgraded the parts as i needed them, so it taught me a new skill (pc building) and it was wayyy cheaper than getting a new pre-built gaming pc. I mean some of the parts I upgraded costed a lot and overall now i feel like my pc costs way more than a pre-built pc BUT it’s my pc that i made now, and that extra money i ended up investing in it made it more special to me. I didn’t need to upgrade anything at all, i just wanted to. I saved up, and only bought the things when i had the money to. I didn’t need to dip into credit cards or anything. It was just made the whole process mean a lot more to me and now not only do i have an amazing computer, I have the pride and appreciation for it.

the problem with me is “i won’t buy anything besides food” and then i just buy $10 of snacks every day at work 😭

My hair stylist suggested getting oil for my hair because of dandruff but it turns out my dandruff isn’t caused by dry scalp but too oily of a scalp so it ended up being completely worthless and instead I needed like a salt shampoo. I spent like 60$ on this hair oil and only used it once or twice so I finally decided to give it to my mom because her hair is always dry. It sucks to waste the money on this product but hopefully she will actually take the time to use it. So far we put it in her hair once together so we will see how many times she does it on her own.

Although my channel didn't really take off yet, I'm still happy sharing our travels and life events here In Switzerland. Gaining organic views no matter how small is so fullfilling. Thanks for this video, Elin. You're always part of my weekly must watch ❤
